Rail track and level crossing reconstruction in 2014

In 2014 LDz Infrastruktūra Ltd. has plans to reconstruct and renovate rail tracks and carry out other repairs on more than 103 tracks.

Reconstruction of rail tracks and level crossings will take place in the following sections:

1. Zālīte – Iecava and Iecava Station, including the overhaul of one level crossing;
2. Līksna – c.p.383, including the overhaul of one level crossing;
3. Sakstagals – Rēzekne and Rēzekne II Station, including the overhaul of one level crossing;
4. Elkšķene – Ugāle, including the overhaul of two level crossings;
5. Garoza – Zālīte and Zālīte Station, including the overhaul of two level crossings.

49.54 km of track will be reconstructed and six level crossings and 37 engineering structures will undergo an overhaul as part of the project.
